How often do you get to do that?
Here at YFM UK, 'movement' is all about getting people involved, practising what we preach and being the change we wish to see in the world.
We created the SkillShare because it is a great basis for becoming positive changemakers, as well as having fun, meeting new people and realising our worth.
The same theory applies for working behind the scenes at YFM UK. If you want to get involved, we'd love to have you. All roles are voluntary but you gain great skills, knowledge and experience, as well as sharing those you have, all whilst making a positive contribution to your food future.
Get in touch and tell us what you want to offer, how long for and how much time you think you can commit. As little or as much time as you can spare is perfect.
Have a look below to see some comments from numerous people who've been involved with YFM UK.
We look forward to hearing from you.
"Terre Madre was an incredibly inspirational experience for myself and i can imagine everyone else. now we are back in the UK we need to channel this energy into growing into a stronger and accessible movement. A very special thanks to Katy Davidson for organising this amazing experience Ican't personally thank you enough."

"I have no doubt that we at Daylesford (as an organisation) can be of assistance in taking the movement forward and I personally would like to be involved too. I'll feed back to the team and have a good think how we might be able to help (i.e. venues, events, resources etc)."
Tim Field, Environmental Scientist - Daylesford Organics, YFM UK @ Terra Madre - Observer.
YFM UK @ EDEN Delegates
“It was my first time being involved in Youth Food Movement, and although I didn't know anyone beforehand I felt totally welcomed and included right away! It was fascinating meeting other likeminded people from different areas, and very useful to discuss topics like the nitty-gritty of funding and how to keep social enterprises ethically sustainable. It was also a great networking space; I came away bubbling with inspiration and enthusiasm to make a change in this world! I feel that the people I met and the thoughts crossing my mind have planted seeds that will germinate positivity for a long time to come... Thank you Katy :)"
Sophia Campbell, Student at University College Falmouth.
The YFM UK gathering at the Eden Project was an inspirational experience. I was particularly interested in people's experience of partnership working with other organisations such as Transition towns, to advance the agenda whilst being inclusive.
Since the gathering I have got in contact with my local Transition initiative, 'Sustainable Beccles'.
Thank you to the organisers Katy Davidson and Sarah Jane Duncan for envisioning and implementing such an ambitious event”
Toby Walton Consultation Co-ordinator, Suffolk Constabulary
