YFM UK IS 100% VOLUNTARY
Youth Food Movement UK is run 100% by volunteers, please consider making a donation. It costs us around £150 to run a Skillshares weekend and donations go towards ingredients and travel costs. If you might be able to donate ingredients, aprons, t-shirts, kitchen equipment or help in any other way please let us know - we're all ears!

Katy Davidson, Founding Director

Katy is the founding leader of the Youth Food Movement UK.

Wanting to create something that was appealing and inclusive for all youth regardless of background or knowledge, Katy has been working on building YFM UK since 2007. Her background in journalism, PR, and Marketing has helped infinitely with building a robust and forward looking movement.

Food culture and its impact on society is one of her leading passions and has lead her to design and implement the now popular Skillshare project in an attempt to educate and reconnect young people and others with their food. A fact she learnt recently that 40% of homes no longer have dining tables, has galvanised her belief in the work of YFM UK even further.

Seeing the link between cultural richness, emotional and physical health, environmental health and the combined power of these to have positive effects on society is something Katy believes in wholeheartedly.

Katy loves oysters, the occasional rare steak, fishing, shooting and having friends around her table for heated debate, silly talk, ideas that will change the world and good food! Contact Katy
